What Buyers Get Wrong
LDPE Where the Bottle Must Stand
Soft-wall LDPE collapses as it empties. For shelf presence, use HDPE.
Sauce Neck Too Narrow
38 mm is the filling-speed standard; a 24/410 sauce bottle slows the line and clogs the orifice.
No Valve in the Cap
Without a silicone valve, thick sauces drip after dispensing — the most common complaint.
Soft Wall or Firm Wall
LDPE is the soft squeeze: it collapses as it empties, which suits sauces, gels and anything dispensed by pressure. HDPE is firmer and springs back, which suits lotions and products where the bottle should keep its shape on a shelf.
The test is simple: fill it, squeeze it, and see whether it returns. A sauce bottle that does not return looks cheap; a lotion bottle that collapses looks broken.
Necks and Dispensing
Sauce bottles use a wide 38 mm neck for filling and a small orifice cap for dispensing. Dropper squeeze bottles use 18/410 with a tip insert. Cosmetic squeeze tubes and bottles sit in between at 24/410.
If the product is thick, a silicone valve in the cap gives a clean cut-off and stops the drip that customers complain about.
MOQ and Colour
1,000 pcs per colour on stock moulds, 25-35 days. LDPE takes colour well but shows flow lines on translucent shades; opaque white and black are the safest first order.
