Material

PETG

Thick-wall clarity with a premium feel. Heavier, slower to mould, and the resin for a luxury serum.

What It Is Good At

Optical clarity at 2–3 mm wall, good impact, easy to polish. What "glass-look plastic" means.

Where It Stops

Cost and cycle: a thick wall is a slow wall. Not for strong solvents; softens earlier than PET.

Typical Use

Serum, ampoule-look bottles, premium cream jars, dropper bottles.

Questions

Why use PETG instead of PET?

Clarity at 2–3 mm wall, which is what a glass-look serum needs.

What does PETG cost?

More per part: the resin is dearer and a thick wall doubles the cycle.
