Cosmetic Packaging From One Plant, Not Five
A skincare or haircare range usually needs a bottle, a jar, a pump and a carton from four suppliers. We mould the first three in Shantou — 3,000+ moulds, 1,000 pcs per colour, samples in 7 days.
| Format | Capacity | Material | Closures |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bottles | 50–750 ml | PET · HDPE · PETG | Pumps, disc-tops, flip-tops |
| Jars | 15–500 ml | PET · PETG (single/double wall) | Screw lids, induction seal |
| Airless | 15–50 ml | PETG | Piston pump, no dip tube |
| Squeeze | 30–500 ml | LDPE · HDPE | Valve caps, dropper tips |
| Spray | 30–1,000 ml | PET · HDPE | Fine mist, trigger, foam |
| Tubes | 30–300 ml | PE · ABL | Flip-top, screw, nozzle |
| Lipstick cases | Standard / slim | ABS · AS · aluminium | Mechanism incl. |
| Closures | 18–63 mm | PP | Pumps, caps, sprayers, droppers |
One Specification, Four Decisions
A cosmetic pack is decided by four numbers, in this order: capacity, neck finish, material, decoration. Capacity follows the market (30 ml serum, 250 ml lotion, 500 ml shampoo). The neck follows the closure — 24/410 covers most pumps, 28/410 the larger ones, 18/410 droppers. The material follows the formula: PET for clarity, HDPE where opacity and cost matter, PETG for thick-wall premium.
Decoration comes last because it carries the MOQ. Silkscreen starts at 1,000 pcs; spray coat, hot stamp and metallising at 3,000. If the launch quantity is 1,000, a stock bottle with a good silkscreen looks bespoke at a fraction of the cost of a new mould.
What a Cosmetic Buyer Normally Asks Us
Three questions come up every week. First: can the same bottle run in three colours for three retailers — yes, one mould, three changeovers, 1,000 pcs each. Second: can the pump, cap and bottle arrive fitted — yes, which removes one packing step and one source of leaks at the filling line. Third: what happens if the formula is high in alcohol or essential oil — PET can craze at the shoulder, so we test a filled sample for four weeks rather than relying on a compatibility table.
Compliance, Stated Plainly
We hold ISO 9001:2015 (PCC85724Q01277R1S), RoHS reports for PE and PET, and an EU 10/2011 migration test. We do not hold FDA registration, REACH registration or GRS certification, and we say so on the verification page rather than letting a buyer assume otherwise. Seller of record is CXWN; quotations, contracts and invoices are issued by the factory, not by 8PCK.
Frequently Asked
What is included in cosmetic packaging?
The primary pack: bottle, jar, airless pack, tube or lipstick case, plus the closure (pump, cap, sprayer or dropper). Labels, cartons and filling are separate.
What is the MOQ for custom cosmetic packaging?
1,000 pcs per colour on existing moulds. A new bottle shape is USD 850 and 15–20 days; spray coat and metallising start at 3,000 pcs.
Can you match a Pantone colour?
Yes, in masterbatch or spray coat. Send the Pantone number and the substrate; a colour on PET reads differently from the same code on HDPE.
Do you supply the pump or cap with the bottle?
Yes — closures are moulded in the same plant and tested on the bottle before packing, which is where most leaks originate.
What documents come with a cosmetic pack?
ISO 9001 certificate, RoHS reports for PE and PET, EU 10/2011 migration test, and the resin declaration on request. We do not claim FDA or REACH registration we do not hold.
What is the lead time?
25–35 days after sample approval for stock moulds; add 5–7 days for a custom colour or 15–20 days for new tooling.
